Champion for Children Tax Credits

1 Month of Advocacy

In one month, a CASA volunteer will visit the child two times as they build a trusting relationship. They will speak to teachers, therapists, and others involved in the child's care to make sure their needs are being met. In one month, a CASA will attend a family support team meeting, speaking up for what they believe is in the child's best interest. You are giving a child the building blocks of advocacy they need and deserve as they navigate foster care.

3 Months of Care

In three months, a CASA volunteer will visit a child approximately six times, support them in their interests and activities, communicate with the important adults in their life, and submit a thorough court report for the judge to review. CASA volunteers attend court on their behalf, offering the judge a clear picture of their safety, needs, and well-being so decisions can be made in their best interest. You are giving the gift of a caring adult they know they can count on.

1 Year of Hope

In one year, a CASA volunteer will attend about 12 family support team meetings, visit a child around 24 times, and advocate for their best interest at 4 court hearings. They’ll log roughly 60 hours of advocacy and time spent together, often becoming the most consistent, caring adult in that child’s life. With your support, you are giving the gift of hope to a child.
